The Middle East is an area where automobile is king and fuel is cheap, often leaving little reward to find more environmentally-friendly methods of walking around.

But this year, as protests across the Middle East have actually risen the cost of oil, the issue of finding alternative sources of fuel has entered sharp focus.

In an area that has among the greatest carbon footprints on the planet, one service is taking advantage of the growing pressure to discover alternatives to oil. It's the Middle East's very first plan to recycle cooking oil into biodiesel. It's showing profitable too, already their client-list contains McDonald's.
